My dog, Toad, was rescued from Puerto Rico in the summer of 2012. My undergraduate advisor conducts field research on Cayo Santiago, an island with free ranging Rhesus Macaques. Toad showed up to her house, starving and infested with ticks and worms. They nursed him back to health and flew him back to Connecticut, and from there I took him with me to North Carolina, where he's lived since.
His hobbies include eating, watching squirrels, and chewing on sticks. You can see some photos of him on the wall at the Canine Cognition Center at Yale. The photos that don't come from my Instagram account come courtesy of my girlfriend, Aleah Bowie. You can tell which photos are hers (the nice ones).
